Nomadic Herding

Nomadic Herding: 

People migrate along with their animals from one place to another in search of fodder for their animals. Generally, they rear cattle, sheep, goats, camels and yaks for milk, skin, meat and wool.

Main features of nomadic herding are :

  • (i) Nomadic herding  is a primitive subsistence activity, in which the herders (who Rearing the animals ) rely on animals for food, clothing, shelter, tools and transport.
  • (ii) They move from one place to another along with their livestock, depending on the amount and quality of pastures and water.
